Senior litigation paralegal Carole Guffanti Notley has been with Employer Solutions Law since 2021. She has over 40 years of experience working in law firms, in roles from intern and legal secretary to attorney. Her breadth of experience in various positions and her deep institutional knowledge of our practice make Carole an invaluable asset to the firm.

As one of the team members of longest standing at Employer Solutions Law, Carole is often referred to as “She Who Gets Things Done.” She puts her powers to good use for the firm’s workers’ compensation defense clients. Carole is involved with workers’ compensation cases from intake to resolution. That includes scheduling and attending client meetings; creating summaries of meetings; drafting and filing pleadings; monitoring claim activity; and working closely with third-party administrators (TPAs) and attorneys in managing claims.

Carole also coordinates surveillance and record review by medical experts, schedules depositions, and generally creates a solid foundation for the work of the firm’s attorneys. Like the attorneys, Carole’s priority is getting the best possible result for our clients.

Nearly everyone interacting with Employer Solutions Law on a workers’ compensation case works with Carole at some point. Her vast knowledge of the Washington workers’ compensation system makes her a valued resource for clients, and the firm relies heavily on her support to serve clients efficiently and cost-effectively.

Carole is a graduate of the UND School of Law and the University of California at Santa Barbara. She is licensed to practice law in California and expects to soon be licensed to practice in Washington. In her spare time, she enjoys reading books (and editing them); cheering for the San Francisco Giants; and spending time outdoors with her adult sons and grand dogs in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
