Weston Augustyniak, an Associate Attorney, joined Employer Solutions Law in January 2024. He concentrates his practice in representing employers in workers’ compensation claims, appeals, WISHA/DOSH violations, and employment law matters. Weston also handles cases before the Washington State Apprenticeship and Training Council.

Weston was a paralegal for six years before becoming an attorney. Prior to joining Employer Solutions Law, he served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, adjudicating Unemployment Insurance matters. In that role, he sharpened his decision-making and analytical skills and his understanding of employment law. The insight Weston developed as an ALJ serves him well as he advises Washington employers regarding compliance and defense strategies.

Weston is respected for his ability to objectively evaluate the strengths and challenges of a client’s position, devise effective strategies for resolving legal issues, and guide employers through the legal process. A skilled multi-tasker, Weston is also noted for his communication skills and creative problem-solving. Clients appreciate how Weston understands their concerns and clearly communicates their legal options, including the risks and benefits; Weston’s favorite part of his job is cutting through the politics and red tape of WISHA/DOSH and workers’ compensation matters to solve problems for clients.

Weston Augustyniak’s strengths are unsurprising in light of the fact that he spent four years prior to his legal career as a Landing Support Specialist in the United States Marine Corps. He entered the military because of his commitment to serving others, and his time in the Marine Corps only strengthened his dedication to service. He chose to represent employers because their work is so critical to the U.S. economy, and they often do not receive the legal support they deserve.

Weston and his partner, a Seattle native, moved to Washington from the Midwest to be closer to her family. When not occupied with supporting clients and colleagues, Weston enjoys working on and riding motorcycles, hiking with his partner and their dogs, and generally taking in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
